Folks;
being rather new to KDE (after having used mostly GNOME and XFCE for the last
15 years), I stumbled across gwenview and immediately found this to be the
image management app I have been searching for, all the time - it seems just
the right kind of "a-bit-more-than-a-file-manager" that I need to keep track of
the images on my drive. With one exception, and one feature dearly missed: I
like using tags, "star" ratings, descriptions and all these things on my
images. gwenview does rather good at doing so, but unfortunately this
annotations made to images are lost as soon as I copy images somewhere.
Expectation would be to (have an option to) have these things stored directly
within the images, using EXIF, IPTC or whatever else comes in handy here.
Is this somewhere on the roadmap? Are there any issues open about that? Is
there any workaround to achieve this?
TIA,
Kristian
